PATA KARE KARE

 INGREDIENTS

1 pc (1200 g ) pork pata, cut up
4 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tbsp patis
2 packs (50 g )  Kare-Kare Mix
150 g eggplant, sliced
150 g banana heart, trimmed and sliced
100 g sitaw, cut into 3 " long
100 g pechay


PROCEDURE

1. Rub pata with garlic and patis . Boil in enough water for 5 minutes. Drain, discard the broth .

2. Add 3 cups water to the pata and simmer until meat is tender.

3. Retain only 1-1/2 cups broth in pan . Add Kare Kare Mix and vegetables except pechay. Simmer until vegetables are cooked .

4. Add pechay. Simmer once. Serve with sautéed baggong alamang.
